Nap Time Help!

Hi. My daughter is 20 months old and nap time has always been a bit of a struggle. We co-slept for the first 6 months and she transitioned into her crib for night time really easily, but always fought sleeping there for naps. It took me a long time to get her to start napping in there when she was around 11 months, and then when she was 16 months old she once again would refuse to sleep in there in the day. I finally decided to I had to let her cry it out because she was tired and getting sick because of lack of sleep. This was a long...

Transition from Crib to Bed

Hi Moms! I'm wondering when is the appropriate age to transition from crib to bed. Mine are almost 18-months-old now. Do you use bedrails so they don't fall out? We have those convertible cribs that will turn into beds. Any input is appreciated - thanks! * I should have mentioned that I have triplets, as a few of you guessed I have multiples. We are not looking to rush it & we are definitely NOT expecting more! LOL! I just wasn't sure what the range was, as they are my first. They haven't tried climbing out yet, but I'm guessing that's...

Need Advice on Toddler Naptime

My daughter will be 2 at the end of this month and lately naptime has been completely miserable for us both. As of this moment, she's been in her crib for an hour and a half talking, rolling around, calling for Mommy, Grandma, anybody. She's exhausted and didn't nap yesterday either. She used to be a terrific napper. I'd change her and read 3 stories while we cuddled, then I'd close the shades, put her down in her crib, wave night-night and she'd roll over and sleep for 2+ hours. Nighttime is a similar routine and she consistently falls...

9 Month Old Will Not Sleep in Crib!

Do any of you mothers have any suggestions for me. My 9 month old son will NOT sleep in his crib. He will only sleep if he is in my bed with either myself, or husband with him, primarily me. He is extremely attached. You see, when he was 6 months old and nearly hospitalized. At that time, the doctor wanted us to keep a very close eye on him and keep him at our bedside to watch his breathing. Well, because of him sleeping in bed w/ us, he got so used to it that he will not sleep on his own. he is still nursed. I've tried the crying it...

Toddler Sleeping Arrangement in a Hotel

My daughter will be turning 3 in Feb and has recently transitioned from a crib to a toddler bed. All is good so far, BUT we have a family vacation planned in early Feb where we will be staying in a hotel. In the past, she has always slept in a Pack n Play when not at home, however I don't want to have to lug it along on vacation (we're flying, renting a car, etc) or run the risk of her wanting to revert back to wanting to sleep in a crib. I've already thought about bringing a sleeping bag or side rails for the hotel bed but REALLY would...

Need Your Advice on This Idea I Have

Ok so my son (18 months) part time co sleeps with me. I needed him to sleep in his own bed while I do homework and what not, but then when he woke up around 10 I would go to bed with him. So now I'm wanting my bed back. BUT the kicker is that we can't do CIO at 10 because we live with family and they are all light sleepers and my dad is one of those overbearing protective dads/papa so when ever I do CIO at bedtime, he is the guy standing next to O's door begging me to go in and let papa take over bedtime. Which if I did that O would be...
